I was just on the site, looks like you've done alot of work so far. Thanks for the slatertools.com plug too! I don't think there will be a conflict with this site or any other as long as you have something to offer the audience. For instance, I did'nt see much reference to the local high school. Training this new generation is big news, so do something different to get those kids on the site interacting. You will benefit this audience if you can offer them a look at that type of interaction or some other unique or 'niche' viewpoint. Tons of folks will get over there and check them out as soon as you do.
