Centerless Grinding consists of 2 types - internal and external grinding. In internal centerless, the part is fed unto roller wheels where one regulates the speed then a grinding wheel is placed on the inside where it performs work going against the direction of the regulating wheel. In external centerless, the part is placed between the grinding wheel and the regulating wheel sitting on top of a resting blade. Grinding occurs when the work done by the regulating wheel is acted against by the grinding wheel. This operation is very good for high rates of production because of the low part handling time.
