Molding is a manufacturing process in which shaping pliable raw material is heated to a liquid state then poured or injected into a cavity. The part that is removed from the cavity is called the mold. After the material solidifies it is removed using a release agent that is usually sprayed on before the material is placed into the cavity. Injection molding, Reaction molding, Compression molding, Transfer molding, Rotational molding, Extrusion molding, Blow molding and Thermoforming are all examples of the molding process.
