Continuous Improvement Manager (CSAB901)

Purpose
Identify and deliver best practice programs to ensure the short and long term success of the site. The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead high impact product/process improvement and transactional projects through all DMAIC phases ensuring that the gains are sustainable. Apply problem solving principals to the evaluation and solution to technical or business related opportunities. Investigate, assess and develop improvement opportunities. Provide expert, hands-on implementation of Lean Six Sigma methods to identify and deliver continuous improvement. This position will be responsible for interacting with senior management, cost savings projects, and the supporting and training of plant green belts. This position will be expected to manage plant relationships with the ultimate objective of creating value. The chosen candidate will be expected to have strong integrity and manage all objectives set by the management team

Accountabilities
• Work with the Region Director of Continuous Improvement and site management team to identify the Continuous Improvement/LSS program requirements and facilitators at the site. Identify obstacles and suitable solutions to ensure a successful implementation of all programs. Provide local expertise about continuous improvement
• Facilitate the process improvement at site level by delivering programs and supporting corporate objectives and manufacturing objectives and teams. Lead large-scale LSS projects.. Facilitate regular progress reviews to ensure the sustainability and further improvement of programs within the manufacturing unit over time.

Pre-Requisites
Educational background:

Bachelor's degree in technical subject matter required. Previous experience within a continuous manufacturing environment would be a plus. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training and/or certification is a plus.

Experience:
• At least five years of demonstrated previous facilitation, continuous improvement, or training experience in a Supply Chain environment within a continuous manufacturing environment. Lean Six Sigma experience strongly preferred.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Development and/or implementation of continuous improvement or best practice tools and techniques.
